Delhi Capitals v Sunrisers Hyderabad

Delhi Capitals have been so far the most exciting team in IPL 2019. Yes, they have won as much they have lost – 2 matches won, 2 lost – but each of these games were the best so far this season.

Delhi Capitals have Rishabh Pant, Prithvi Shaw and Kagiso Rabada. Rabada is from South Africa, and Pant and Shaw are from India, of course. Together, they are the three most exciting young talent in world cricket, who can win any match on their day.

That is why you cannot count them out in any match. Delhi Capitals are young and hungry to succeed – they are not jaded like Virat Kohli’s RCB. They look like they have a point to prove and will give it all every match.

…Which is why cricket fans always look forward to watching their matches. Sunrisers Hyderabad have been good too – 2 wins, one loss. Not bad, a good, solid start to IPL 2019.

Their only real issue is lack of good fast bowlers with real pace. All they have are medium pacers who can only do so much and pose no threat whatsoever. Yes, their two Afghan spinners – Rashid Khan and Nabi are good, but Sunrisers would be desperate to have at least one genuine quick bowler in their squad. They don’t have one.

Regardless, they have perhaps the best batting line-up in the IPL. David Warner looks to be in a really bad mood and he is taking all of his anger out on the bowlers. He looks like a certain bet to be the top scorer this season of the Indian Premier League.

He is well supported by Jonny Bairstow, who has more than made up for the absence of Captain Kane Williamson. In fact, Bairstow looked so good in the last match, when he hit a hundred off just 50 balls, that we don’t know how Kane is going to get a spot in this team!

The Teams

Delhi Capitals: 1 Prithvi Shaw, 2 Shikhar Dhawan, 3 Shreyas Iyer (capt), 4 Rishabh Pant (wk), 5 Colin Ingram, 6 Chris Morris, 7 Hanuma Vihari, 8 Axar Patel, 9 Kagiso Rabada, 10, Avesh Khan, 11 Sandeep Lamichhane

Sunrisers Hyderabad: 1 Jonny Bairstow (wk), 2 David Warner, 3 Vijay Shankar, 4 Yusuf Pathan, 5 Manish Pandey, 6 Deepak Hooda, 7 Mohammad Nabi, 8 Rashid Khan, 9 Bhuvneshwar Kumar (capt), 10 Sandeep Sharma, 11 Siddarth Kaul

Prediction: With Delhi Capitals, anything is possible. We predict a close game. Delhi Capitals to snatch it in the end.
