188BET have offered a betting service to India for some time now, in that they allow players based in India to place bets. Their betting markets are pretty deep, and they also offer cricket betting.
The good thing about these guys is that they use their own traders, so the odds are generally pretty good most of the time. They don’t follow others, so can often offer much higher value, even though they don’t seem to advertise this.
The company has been around for some time now too – so they’re not the sort of company to take your money and run. They started in 2006, and are now one of the biggest brands in Asia in the online gaming and gambling world.
What’s their cricket like?
Similar to other big operators in that they have the key games and tournaments, such as the Indian Premier League, the Ashes, etc. Although one thing we were quite impressed with, was that they even have League 2 County Cricket, and Royal London One Day Cup markets. This may have come about from their sponsorship of Gloucestershire County Cricket Club in the UK, but we feel this is an extra positive for this Asian bookmaker.
We tested their markets out during the 2015 IPL season, and what we found is that they quite like to offer individual player markets, such as highest batsman total, etc. They also offered a few win boost promotions too – which at the time seemed something like 10% extra on winnings up to $50. Don’t quote us on that, but it was something along those lines!
When do I get my money??
Definitely a key aspect of any of the bookmakers we bet with – what are the payments like.
Well unsurprisingly by now, pretty fast and efficient. The usual suspects are there such as Neteller and Skrill (Moneybookers), but we made a deposit and withdrawal with our bank card, and it only took two days to get the withdrawal.
